Lockport, Illinois – After a three-week break due to heavy snow, North Carolina A&T’s bowling team bounced back on Friday at the Storm Flyer Classic, hosted by Lewis University. The Aggies, ranked 13th by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA), showed resilience with a 3-2 record in Baker-format play, accumulating a total of 4,792 pins, which averages about 191.8 pins per game.
The Aggies opened their return with a nail-biting match against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Despite losing the first game by just 10 pins, they rallied to secure a 978-970 victory. Freshmen Charisse Graham and Sara Giraldo were part of a lineup that included sophomore Jasmine Hall, junior Payton Hartgrove, and sophomore Victorya White.
In their second match against Elmhurst, the Aggies took command early, leading 410-306 after the first two games. Although Elmhurst made it tough in the third game, the Aggies clinched a comfortable 1,010-793 win, showcasing their skills and teamwork.
A&T’s momentum continued as they faced Belmont Abbey, where they initially trailed after a tough first game. However, they surged back with impressive scores, including a standout 278 in Game 4, finishing with a solid 1,024-876 victory.

In their final match of the event against Valparaiso, A&T put up a strong fight. They opened with a loss but managed to take control, winning three of the five games. Ultimately, Valparaiso prevailed, winning the match 936-911.
