Revitalizing Ranchi: G. Kishan Reddy Launches New IBM Regional Office with a Commitment to Sustainability

In a notable move to bolster mining governance in Jharkhand, Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, unveiled the new Regional Office of the Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) in Ranchi. This office is strategically located near the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi.

This new office aims to improve oversight and streamline solutions for mining-related challenges. Jharkhand, known for its rich mineral resources, is vital for India’s mineral production and industrial advancement. By having IBM closer to key mining areas, it will allow for faster compliance checks and better monitoring of sustainable practices. During the inauguration, Minister Reddy also participated in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, planting a tree in honor of mothers.
