Nevertheless, these collaborative memes didn’t outperform those crafted solely by humans. In other words, more ideas don’t necessarily mean better quality. As the authors pointed out, “The increased productivity of human-AI teams doesn’t lead to superior results—just to more results.”
Interestingly, participants using AI assistance felt a bit less ownership of their memes compared to those who created them solo.
