The CES technology exhibition in Las Vegas is showcasing some of the latest tech innovations. Many of these exciting developments are on their way to Israel this year.
Intel has revealed its new Core Ultra 200HX gaming processor. It packs up to 24 cores, can clock speeds up to 5.5 GHz, and features an AI processor (NPU) with an impressive 13 trillion operations per second. These processors are Intel’s most robust offerings for gaming laptops, equipped with WiFi 7 support, Thunderbolt 5 compatibility, and a size reduction of 33% compared to older models.
There are 11 different models within Intel’s new H and HX processor series. They include five Core Ultra 200H models and six Core Ultra 200HX models. Each integrates next-gen performance cores (P-cores) and efficiency cores (E-cores). The HX models can manage up to 99 TOPS (CPU + GPU + NPU), marking a significant enhancement in AI capabilities for laptops. Intel plans to launch over 40 laptops featuring HX processors, alongside many H models and more than 20 with Intel Arc graphics. This blend of advanced graphics and smart power management transforms mobile gaming, handling demanding games while maintaining portability.
Israeli Innovation
At CES, Intel also highlighted its Core 200H laptop processors. These are advanced versions of the previous Raptor Lake architecture and were created through teamwork at Intel’s Kiryat Gat facility and Haifa development center. Intel Israel’s leadership team, including Daniel Ben Atar and Karin Eibschitz-Segal, initially brainstormed these processors.
This collaboration marks a first for Intel, where development and manufacturing teams worked together closely from the initial design phase, optimizing production at the Kiryat Gat facility. According to Intel Israel, this teamwork maximized their advanced Intel 7 technology, resulting in better performance.
“The Fab 28 facility in Kiryat Gat played a key role in developing these processors, improving production for enhanced performance,” noted Intel Israel’s Yoni Azran, Tomer Sasson, and Shay Peretz. “This project showcases Israeli innovation, combining development and production to create top-notch products. These processors are made right here in Israel.”
