OTR Engineered Solutions (OTR) has teamed up with Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.), a leader in tire inflation systems, to introduce tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) for off-road vehicles. OTR will feature P.S.I.’s TireView system in its range of tire and wheel assemblies, which will help monitor tire pressures and gather telematics data. They will also assist original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in integrating this technology into their machines.
The TireView system includes sensors that measure both pressure and temperature for each tire. Drivers can view real-time data via an optional in-cab display, a smartphone app, or directly on the vehicle’s dashboard. This ensures that tires are properly inflated and in good condition, with alerts to flag any issues. Fleet managers and rental companies can also monitor tire information and vehicle location remotely through the TireView LIVE portal, making it easier to manage assets. Plus, installation is straightforward, thanks to its plug-and-play design.
“P.S.I. sees OTR as an innovator in off-road tire technology, and we are happy to partner with them to provide TireView’s TPMS to their customers. Timely alerts on tire pressure and temperature are crucial for all types of vehicles, and with TireView LIVE telematics, we now offer a complete tire management solution for fleets,” said Craig Smith, vice president of marketing and communications at P.S.I.
This partnership merges OTR’s know-how in off-road tires with P.S.I.’s strength in highway solutions. It’s a win for drivers and equipment managers across industries like construction, rental services, and material handling, boosting safety and extending tire life.
“OTR is thrilled to collaborate with P.S.I. in the off-highway sector,” said Ben Brown, OTR’s global VP of OEM sales and marketing. “P.S.I. is a top player in TPMS technology. Together with our advanced tire designs and manufacturing skills, we can provide even more value to our customers.”
