Richmond wrapped up its 2025-26 season with a strong performance at the NCAA Regionals in Chapel Hill, finishing 11th. This matches their best result from previous appearances. The team scored a total of 298 (+18) in the final round, completing the event at 62-over par.
Head coach Calle Barlow expressed pride in the team, especially in two seniors, Hannah Lydic and Olivia Wilkie. Lydic ended the tournament at 11-over par, taking 37th place, and Wilkie shot a solid 3-over 73, finishing 60th at 23-over par.
Lydic reflected on her journey at Richmond, highlighting three conference championships and personal growth throughout her collegiate career. “I’ve learned so much about myself and I’ve been blessed with a great team,” she shared. Wilkie, leaving UR with a notable scoring average, is also expected to receive her fourth WGCA All-American Scholar honor soon.
Junior Maya Beasley shot a 5-over 75, tying for 55th, while freshman Addie Doroh joined her at 19-over par. Katie Magner finished the event with a 6-over 76, placing 59th.
This season’s performance is a testament to the team’s dedication and growth. Reflecting on past results, the Spiders have steadily improved since their first NCAA appearance, showing potential for even greater success in the future.
