RIT Women’s Hockey Dominates Robert Morris with a 2-0 Shutout Victory!

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RIT’s senior goalie, Sarah Coe, secured her third shutout this season. The Tigers won 2-0 against Robert Morris in Atlantic Hockey action.
Freshman forward Kailey Favro scored one goal and assisted on another. Sophomore forward Addie Alvarez contributed with two assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Freshman forward Brac Kelley opened the scoring for RIT at 4:27 in the first period. She maneuvered into the RMU zone and slid one past goalie Maggie Hatch.
  • Coe made 12 saves during a quiet second period.
  • The Tigers unleashed 11 shots on goal, with multiple attempts from Jessie Burks, Kylie Aquaro, and Linda Rulle.
  • Favro scored on a power play at 12:20 in the third, extending the lead to 2-0. Aquaro passed to her in the slot, leading to a powerful shot that found the back of the net.
  • Coe had four saves in the final period to maintain the shutout.

GAME NOTES

  • RIT outshot Robert Morris 35-22.
  • The Tigers were 1-for-4 on power plays, while the Colonials went 0-for-2.
  • Coe ended the game with 22 saves.
