Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are coming together for a final concert, and fans are excited. This isn’t just another farewell show; it truly seems like this is the end for them.
Ozzy’s health has been a concern since he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020. He recently shared, “I can’t walk, but I’m still alive. There are people who haven’t had the chance to do what I’ve done.” His outlook remains positive despite the challenges he faces.
At 76, Ozzy’s physical struggles are real. However, his wife, Sharon, mentioned that his singing voice is strong. “He’s happy and emotional about this reunion,” she said. “Parkinson’s is tough, but his voice is as good as ever.”
The reunion concert is set for July 5 at Aston Villa, titled “Back to the Beginning.” Ozzy expressed, “It’s time for me to give back to the place where I was born. Birmingham is the true home of metal.” The city holds deep significance for him and for the band’s history.
Music director Tom Morello believes this show will be legendary. Alongside Black Sabbath, the lineup includes stars like Billy Corgan from The Smashing Pumpkins, Slash, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, and Sammy Hagar. It promises to be an unforgettable night for rock fans.
All profits from the concert will support charities like Cure Parkison’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and the Acorn Children’s Hospice. Black Sabbath, formed in Birmingham in 1968, has sold over 75 million albums and remains a cornerstone of heavy metal.
