Rowan University Unveils 0M Fundraising Campaign: Join Us in Transforming Futures! | ROI-NJ

Rowan University will kick off its “Forging Forward” campaign on September 19. The goal? To raise over $240 million to enhance student support and innovation in the region. The launch event starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Chamberlain Student Center in Glassboro.

The campaign aims to boost investment in three main areas: improving the student experience through scholarships and wellness programs, advancing research and innovation, and transforming Rowan’s West Campus into the University of the Future.

Rowan’s President, Ali Houshmand, along with other leaders, will share insights about what this campaign means for students and the community.

Impressive funding has already come in for this initiative. For instance, Virtua Health, a healthcare partner, contributed $85 million. Recently, alumni Ric and Jean Edelman donated $25 million for the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum in Mantua Township.

Rowan is one of the fastest-growing public universities in the U.S. This campaign marks a significant step in its recent expansion. Enrollment has nearly doubled, reaching almost 25,000 students this semester.

This fall also saw the opening of the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, making Rowan the first university in New Jersey to offer a veterinary program. Remarkably, Rowan is now one of just two universities nationwide that provide programs in medicine, osteopathic medicine, and veterinary medicine.

A recent survey showed that 73% of students at similar universities appreciate initiatives like this, believing they enhance the overall educational experience. Investing in these programs not only benefits students but also helps foster stronger community ties.
