This innovative product was first created for the table grape sector. It helps growers and exporters by minimizing weight loss in grape bunches, lowering waste, and ensuring grapes arrive in better condition.
Research on grapes from South Africa, Chile, and Peru shows impressive results. Grapes transported to the EU, US, Asia, and the UK for over 30 days have about 2.6% more weight upon delivery. There’s also an 85% decrease in defects and a steady 30% improvement in the health of the stems.
Exporters and growers using RYPEN Technology report returns on investment (ROIs) of 300-500% compared to the cost of the technology. In some markets, better-looking stems can even earn higher prices.
Manufacturing is now set up in South Africa and Chile. This makes the RYPEN Case liner easily available to table grape producers in those countries and Peru for the 2024/25 export season. The distribution network is also ready to accommodate other fruit producers, like those growing stone fruit or golden/red kiwis.
