Seahawks Shake Up Roster: Four Players Waived After the 2025 NFL Draft

The Seattle Seahawks have released four players: quarterback Jaren Hall, linebacker Michael Dowell, center Michael Novitsky, and outside linebacker Kenneth Odumegwu.

This news follows the Seahawks’ busy 2025 NFL Draft where they added 11 new players. They are also expected to bring in several undrafted free agents soon, right before rookie minicamp kicks off.

Currently, the Seahawks have 74 players on their 90-man roster, and they’re gearing up for more signings.

Michael Dowell, who went undrafted from Miami of Ohio, also spent time on Seattle’s practice squad before signing a reserve contract in the offseason. Similarly, Michael Novitsky signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent from Kansas and was part of the practice squad last year. Kenneth Odumegwu had an interesting journey as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, spending last season on Seattle’s practice squad after being with the Green Bay Packers previously.
