WALTHAM, MASS. – On Saturday, Judah Makway and Ty Spencer made headlines by scoring their first career goals, helping Alaska Anchorage secure a thrilling 3-2 victory against Bentley.
The Seawolves started strong. Captain Conor Cole lit the lamp with a power-play goal just 8:53 into the first period. His shot from the faceoff dot was set up by Camden Shasby and Ryan Johnson.
In a rollercoaster third period, both teams exchanged short-handed goals. Spencer struck first, netting his inaugural goal at 4:58. Not long after, Bentley’s Pat Lawn responded with a short-handed goal of his own at 9:55.
Then it was Makway’s turn to shine. He tipped in a shot from David Jesus at 11:02 to secure his first goal, with Logan Acheson also providing an assist.
The Falcons made things tense with a late goal from Owen Goodbrand at 17:53, but the Seawolves held on for the win.
Tyler Krivtsov stepped up as the backbone of the team, making 34 saves in his third career victory. The Seawolves went 1-for-4 on the powerplay and successfully shut down Bentley’s four attempts.
Interestingly, while the Falcons out-shot the Seawolves 36-20, Alaska Anchorage showed resilience and effective teamwork to grab the win.
