SGMC Health Marketing Wins Gold VIDDY Award for Berrien Expansion Video
SGMC Health in Valdosta has received a prestigious Gold VIDDY Award for its commercial titled “SGMC Health Berrien is Here for You.” This award recognizes excellence in video production, particularly in the Health & Wellness category.
The VIDDY Awards, which honor top-notch digital and video productions, received over 2,500 entries this year from the U.S., Canada, and 22 other countries. Winning this award signifies SGMC Health’s commitment to high-quality content that resonates with its audience. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), who administers the awards, comprises thousands of professionals across various communication fields.
The winning video, created by Ascend Strategy + Design (now known as Instrumental Group), showcases the significant expansion of SGMC Health Berrien. Last year, they opened a $15 million Emergency Department in Nashville, Georgia. This new facility has replaced an outdated four-room ER with a modern nine-room setup, complete with larger trauma rooms and advanced technology.
Erika Bennett, SGMC Health’s vice president of marketing and brand experience, emphasized the importance of community needs in driving their decisions. “This video tells the story of how SGMC Health is investing in those needs and ensuring access to emergency care for generations to come,” she said. The aim was to highlight how this expansion will positively affect rural healthcare.
The recognition not only celebrates the video but also shines a light on the critical role SGMC Health plays in improving local health services. Recent surveys show that rural healthcare facilities are vital for communities, with a significant number of residents relying on them for emergency services.
