Shahbaz Sharif livid over US sanctions: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday defended the nation’s nuclear and missile packages. He mentioned the current US sanctions imposed on 4 Pakistani firms “have no justification.”
The US has imposed sanctions on Karachi-based Akhtar & Sons Pvt Ltd, Affiliates International and Rockside Enterprise, together with the National Development Complex (NDC), a key aerospace and protection company owned by the Pakistan authorities, for contributing to the ballistic missile program.
Addressing a cupboard assembly, Shahbaz mentioned, “There is no justification for the restrictions imposed on our National Development Complex and other companies.”
He mentioned, “Pakistan has no intention of making its nuclear system aggressive. This is completely for the protection of Pakistan. This is just a preventive system, nothing else.”
Shahbaz mentioned that “God forbid, but when there is aggression against Pakistan, then in such a state of affairs the nation might be protected, for this the ballistic missile program was ready.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Office had described the US choice to ban NDC and three different firms as “unfortunate and discriminatory”.
Shahbaz mentioned the Foreign Office had given an “appropriate response”. He mentioned, “The nuclear program is very close to the hearts of the people of the country and there will be no compromise with it. The entire country is united on this issue.”
List of banned firms of Pakistan
The Pakistani firms which have been banned embrace Dynamic Engineering Corporation, Enerquip Private Limited, NAR Technologies General Trading LLC, Trojan, Rainbow Solutions and Universal Drilling Engineers. Now these firms must face lots of difficulties in buying American tools.
