Shakira kicked off her exciting “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” in Brazil. This marks the start of a journey with more than 30 shows across Latin America and North America, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.
Before her performance at Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, Shakira shared her feelings on social media. She mentioned putting in a full year of preparation, rehearsing up to 14 hours a day to ensure her show would be unforgettable.
“Today is the day. I write these lines from my dressing room. I see a woman in the mirror who has given her all in every rehearsal and performance,” she said. “I know perfection is a myth, but tonight, I will present my true self, shaped by experience and perseverance.”
This tour is produced by Live Nation and supports her Grammy-winning album of the same name. It’s her first major tour since “El Dorado” from 2017-2018.
Shakira revealed her North American tour dates during a surprise performance at Coachella alongside Bizarrap. Due to high demand, some dates were postponed and moved to larger venues.
The North American leg starts on May 13 in Charlotte, with stops planned in Toronto, Boston, Miami, and Las Vegas. She will headline WorldPride DC on May 26 and wrap up her North American shows in San Francisco on June 30.
