Shark Tank India Drama: Anupam Mittal Calls Out Pitchers for ‘We’ll See Later’ Attitude, Vineeta Singh Exposes Their ‘Jhol’

Shark Tank India has become a favorite for many viewers. The show is currently in its fourth season, streaming on Sony LIV. In a recent episode, Aastha and Radesh, a married couple from Jaipur, pitched their silver jewelry brand, Shyle. Aastha and Radesh have been married for nine years. They started their jewelry business in 2017 with an initial investment of ₹7 lakh. Instead of seeking outside funding, they chose to grow the business on their own due to concerns about financial risk. Their pitch was lively, showcasing a product line with seventeen categories, and they shared entertaining stories about their marriage, which delighted the sharks.

However, things took a turn during questions from the panel. Vineeta Singh raised a red flag about their salary setup. She discovered that the business was still under Aastha’s name and that Radesh was earning ₹1.5 lakh a month as a consultant. They explained this arrangement was for tax benefits, but Vineeta wasn’t pleased. She labeled it a “jhol” and stressed the need for better customer retention.

The couple requested ₹70 lakh for a 1% stake in their company. Namita Thapar and Ritesh Agarwal countered by offering ₹70 lakh for a 1.5% stake, along with a 1% royalty until their investment was recouped. On the other hand, Anupam made a more significant offer of ₹1.4 crore for 5% equity.

As discussions continued, Radesh made a comment overheard by Anupam: “baad mein dekh lenge” (we’ll see later). This upset both Anupam and Vineeta. Anupam called the remark “absolutely unacceptable,” warning that backing out of agreed terms could harm the couple’s reputation.

In the end, Aastha and Radesh accepted Namita and Ritesh’s deal of ₹70 lakh for 1.5% equity, with a lower royalty of 0.5%. Afterward, they expressed their lack of interest in Anupam’s proposal.
