A driver in western North Carolina had an unbelievable experience when a bald eagle dropped a cat onto her windshield while she was driving on U.S. Route 74 near the Great Smoky Mountains. Thankfully, she wasn’t hurt, but her windshield suffered quite a shock.
In her 911 call, the surprised driver explained what had happened: “You may not believe me, but I just had a bald eagle drop a cat through my windshield.” The dispatcher took it in stride, responding with laughter, “I do believe you, honestly.” The whole situation seemed surreal, especially since another witness saw the bizarre incident unfold.
