Shocking New Banksy Mural: Judge Takes Center Stage in Protest Scene Outside London Court

A new mural by the famous street artist Banksy has appeared outside a court in London. The artwork shows a judge striking an unarmed protester with a gavel. The protester, lying on the ground, holds a blood-stained placard. Banksy shared this piece on Instagram with the caption “Royal Courts Of Justice. London.”

Activists interpret the mural as a statement against the U.K. government’s recent ban on the group Palestine Action. Over 900 people were arrested during a protest against this ban just days before the mural’s unveiling.

The group Defend Our Juries, which organized the protest, declared that the mural shows “the brutality unleashed” by the government’s actions. They believe that using the law to suppress freedom of speech only fuels dissent further.

Security officials quickly covered the mural with black plastic and set up barriers and cameras to protect it.

Banksy began his journey in Bristol and grew into one of the most recognized artists in the world. His works often carry a socio-political message, especially about migration and war. For example, at the Glastonbury Festival last year, he showcased an inflatable raft symbolizing migrants’ perilous journeys across the Channel.
