The developers claim they spent 11 years planning this project. They had significant hopes that Ohtani’s involvement would attract buyers and generate buzz in the luxury market.

However, the lawsuit contends that Balelo became a disruptive force, threatening to pull Ohtani out of the deal unless his demands were met. As a result, they assert that their business partner began prioritizing Ohtani’s interests over their own.
