Showcasing Self-Reliance: Indian Pavilion at Dubai Air Show Highlights PM’s Vision, Says Union MoS Sanjay Seth

Dubai [UAE], November 17: Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, recently opened the India Pavilion at the Dubai Air Show 2025. He emphasized that this pavilion represents Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to building a self-reliant defense sector in India.

Sanjay noted that 15 innovative defense startups showcase their technologies at the pavilion. “The world is watching India’s defense capabilities,” he stated. He highlighted how operations like Operation Sindoor have demonstrated India’s strengths on the global stage.

The Vice Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, also attended the inauguration. Sanjay leads a delegation of senior officials from the Indian defense community, aiming to strengthen ties with international partners. He plans to hold meetings with UAE counterparts and lead a discussion with about 50 companies from various countries, promoting collaboration in defense technology.

The pavilion features prominent organizations like HAL, DRDO, and others, alongside startups presenting their innovations. The event hosts over 1,500 exhibitors and attracts around 148,000 industry professionals from 150 nations.

According to recent statistics from the Indian Ministry of Defence, India’s defense exports have grown significantly, increasing by 300% over the past five years. This reflects a broader trend of countries shifting towards self-reliance in military capabilities.

As the Dubai Air Show unfolds from November 17 to 21, it promises to foster military cooperation and technological advancement.
