Filming of Amazon MGM Studios’ much-anticipated series Tomb Raider has hit a pause button. This show is created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for Fleabag.
The studio shared that “Sophie Turner recently experienced a minor injury.” They said filming will pause so she can recover. It’s unclear if she was injured on set. The break is expected to last about two weeks, but crew members will still receive their pay during this time.
This adaptation of the beloved video game centers on the adventures of Lara Croft, portrayed by Turner. The cast includes well-known names like Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Martin Bobb-Semple, among others.
Production started on January 15, and they even released the first image of Turner as Lara. Most of the filming is taking place in the U.K.
