Sophie Turner Reveals Why Kissing Kit Harington in Their New Horror Film Was ‘Vile’ – ‘We Were Both Retching’

Sophie Turner recently shared her thoughts on kissing Kit Harington in their new movie, “The Dreadful.” She described the experience as “vile.” This confession came during her appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”

Turner, who also produced the film, chose Harington as her co-star. They had previously played siblings Sansa Stark and Jon Snow on “Game of Thrones.” Even though that show ended in 2019, their brother-sister bond remains strong.

When she sent Harington the script, he responded with a mix of excitement and concern. “This is going to be really weird,” he texted. Turner found out just how awkward it would be when she read scenes filled with passionate kisses and intimate moments. “Oh, shoot, that’s my brother,” she thought.

Despite the awkward start, both actors agreed that the script was too good to pass up. “We put it out of our minds,” she said. However, once they were on set for the first kissing scene, they couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. “It was the worst,” she admitted, laughing about it.

Set in the 15th century, “The Dreadful” follows Anne, played by Turner, and her mother-in-law Morwen. Their quiet life takes a turn when a man from their past reappears, leading to unexpected chaos. The film also features Marcia Gay Harden and Laurence O’Fuarain, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet.

As we see more actors taking on unconventional roles, it’s interesting to note how this impacts audience perceptions. The transition from friends or siblings to romantic leads can come with its challenges, but it often results in unique and memorable performances.
