HENDERSON, Ken. (WFIE) – Organizers have created a twisted love story, mixing romance with horror. Inside, you’ll find creepy corridors lined with wilting roses and unsettling decorations. Actors are ready to give you chills and thrills.
“It’s the offseason, and we wanted to bring something special to the community,” said Joshua Wilhite, the owner of Henderson Haunts. This isn’t your typical Valentine’s event; expect broken hearts and haunting spirits.
“Prepare for plenty of screams,” Wilhite added, hinting at the spine-tingling fun ahead.
But it’s not all about the scares. This haunted house is also about giving back. They are collecting non-perishable food items, and part of the proceeds will support the Tri-State Food Bank. “It’s great to team up with them to help those in need,” Wilhite explained.
The haunted house has been a hit with thrill-seekers. Lines are long as brave visitors come to experience the unique mix of chills and affectionate horror.
Sean Owen, a thrill-seeker, shared, “Every corner will scare you.” Erica Farmer described her experience, saying, “The chainsaw scene really caught me off guard.” Caleb added, “You think you know what’s going on, but there are surprises everywhere.”
Tori, a fan of all things scary, said, “We loved it last year, so when I saw they were doing a Valentine’s version, we had to come support.”
