This week marks the seventh round of the Monster AMA Supercross, and there’s a lot at stake. In the 450SX Class, Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb are tied on points. Sexton has faced some challenges lately, making mistakes that cost him some valuable positions. Meanwhile, Webb is coming off a strong win in Detroit and seems to be in great shape. Whoever performs better tonight will not only gain the points lead but also some much-needed momentum as we move into the second half of the season.
In the 250SX Class, the race is even tighter. Julien Beaumer leads by just two points over Jordon Smith, who claimed victory the last time the west division raced. Haiden Deegan is right on their heels, just one point behind Smith. It’s an incredibly close race! So far, we haven’t seen a repeat winner in this class, and that’s likely to continue tonight in Dallas. Cole Davies is impressing everyone in his rookie year; during the last Triple Crown event, he won the first two main races but had a mishap in the third. This evening also features a Triple Crown format, giving him a great shot at redemption. No matter how things play out, tonight is crucial for setting the tone for the rest of the season.
