He hadn’t spoken directly with Rodgers, even during his visit to the Steelers’ facility. He mentioned, “I have not had any communication with him,” pointing out that coaches were busy when Rodgers was there, which limited potential discussions.

Heyward is clear about what he would say to Rodgers if given the chance: joining the Steelers is about the goal of winning, not the spotlight of big cities. He pointed out, “We haven’t had the success we want, but the goal is still in mind to raise the Lombardi.”
