Stellar Blade Makes Waves on PC: Record-Breaking Launch for PlayStation’s Exciting Single-Player Adventure

UPDATE 13/6/25: Stellar Blade has truly made waves on PC, hitting a peak player count of 183,830 on Steam.

ORIGINAL 12/6/25: After its release on PC, Stellar Blade has had an impressive debut. Within just 24 hours, it reached a peak of 99,980 players, setting the record for the highest concurrent player count for a PlayStation published single-player game on Steam.

To put this into perspective, some other popular titles include Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered with a peak of 66,436 and Horizon Zero Dawn with 56,557. In contrast, The Last of Us Part 1 peaked at 36,496, followed by The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered at 30,690.

Players are responding positively, giving Stellar Blade an “overwhelmingly positive” rating on Steam. One player noted, “In a world full of unoptimized games, it’s refreshing to see one run so smoothly.”

Back in February, the game’s developer Shift Up expressed optimism, predicting the PC version would outsell its console counterpart. They pointed out that in the AAA market, PCs hold a larger share. They noted the rapid growth of the single-player action genre in Asia, which may contribute to the impressive performance of the PC version.
