Steph Curry Shocks Fans with First Dunk in Six Years: Is This the Last One Ever?

In an exciting game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Steph Curry did something unexpected: he dunked for the first time in six years. This happened with just over seven minutes left in the game, leaving fans amazed.

After the game, Curry jokingly hinted that this might be his last dunk ever. “I’m calling it right now. That was the last one you’re going to see,” he said, adding a touch of humor to the moment.

Though he scored 29 points and provided 13 assists, the Golden State Warriors lost 126-119 to the 76ers, ending their five-game winning streak. Curry’s dunks are rare highlights in his career. In fact, a video compilation of all his dunks is only six minutes long on YouTube. He still remembers the details of his last dunk before this one, recalling that it happened at Oracle Arena and was set up by a pass from Kevin Durant.

This recent dunk was a result of hard work. “I’ve been doing some knee stuff all year. And you want to take advantage of a cherry-pick opportunity,” Curry admitted. But it took all his effort to make that leap.

As fans erupted in celebration, Curry pointed to the bench, acknowledging assistant coach Jerry Stackhouse. Interestingly, Stackhouse had asked to see a dunk earlier that day. “It was a very random comment this morning,” Curry mentioned with a smile.

Despite Curry’s efforts, the Warriors struggled with their offense and were unable to overcome Quentin Grimes of the 76ers, who scored a career-high 44 points. Curry’s dunk briefly narrowed the score to 109-104, and the Warriors tied the game at 116 with under two minutes remaining. However, Grimes quickly countered, helping the 76ers secure their first win since February 4.

The Warriors are set to play again on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. Fans will be eager to see if Curry has any more surprises in store.
