Reports from Variety reveal that Mosko’s departure comes as the company grapples with serious cash flow problems. Since last fall, Village Roadshow has been struggling financially. Owned mainly by Vine Investments, the company was recently facing sanctions from the Writers Guild of America due to overdue payments, which began just before the holidays.

As of now, Mosko has not commented on his departure, and Vine Investments has not responded to requests for more information.

Mosko joined Village Roadshow in 2018, bringing in new investments that helped expand their film and TV teams. For the last six months, he has focused on retaining talent and managing projects amidst the financial turmoil. Known for his likable nature and vast experience, Mosko may pursue new opportunities or even start his own production venture.

In July, Vine sold several entertainment assets, including Calvin Harris’s song catalog, in a deal valued at $2.4 billion. Despite this sale, financial issues persist.

Recently, the company has laid off a few middle management staff, and it remains uncertain what will happen to senior management positions in film and television.
