Storm Damage: Tree Topples, Impacting Mill Creek, WA Food Bank’s Vital Services

MILL CREEK, Wash. – The Mill Creek Community Food Bank is reaching out for help after a storm caused a tree to crash into their building.

This week’s storm brought strong winds that knocked down trees across western Washington. Unfortunately, one of those trees fell right onto the food bank, damaging the roof and destroying a container meant for their Backpacks of Hope program. This program delivers food to children who need it, and the loss is significant for the community.

As the food bank works to get back on its feet, they are asking for community support. Donations are vital right now. You can contribute through the Hope Creek Charitable Foundation website. Additionally, if you have some time to spare, they welcome volunteers to help with the recovery efforts.

The Mill Creek Community Food Bank is located at 4326 148th Street SE, behind Gold Creek Community Church. To find out more about their programs and how you can help, visit the Hope Creek Charitable Foundation website.
