I’m a fan of Destiny 2, and I want to share my recent experience with the game. Lately, I’ve been able to get Tier 5 drops consistently, especially during the Festival of the Lost event. However, the game has become frustrating due to numerous glitches that hinder gameplay.
Here’s a quick summary of my last few gaming sessions:
First off, when diving into the Festival of the Lost’s Haunted Altars, I encountered what’s called a “soft lock.” In three different runs, I had to wait for shriekers to stop firing before I could damage the boss. If too much damage was dealt too soon, the encounter would break. Many players weren’t aware of this and didn’t know how to reset the encounter, adding to the confusion.
I also faced issues during the third stage of an activity. Enemies were glitching around, and I found myself suddenly dying from unseen attacks. It’s like the game starts lagging, which is frustrating when you’re trying to focus on the action.
Then, there was an incident while trying to earn loot in the Reclaim for Ash and Iron quest. Twice, after teleporting to a new zone, the game wouldn’t spawn new objectives, and wiping the team didn’t help at all.
Additionally, Reclaim activities are matchmade, so players can’t change modifiers. I consistently reached low ranks despite putting in maximum effort. This mismatch made these runs feel pointless, especially since the scoring system has been a mess ever since The Portal update introduced these changes.
Lastly, I attempted a Battleground activity to earn some bonus rewards. Twice, I expected an A rank but ended up with a C. This seems to stem from the game’s weird mechanics that prioritize how you approach the enemies rather than just defeating the boss.
In total, I found half of my runs completed normally while the other half ended in glitches and poor loot. Many players are venting their frustration online, pointing out that as Bungie’s quality assurance efforts have diminished, new updates often mean new bugs or old ones returning.
Despite these challenges, interest in the game remains high. According to recent data from a survey by GameRant, 75% of Destiny 2 players reported similar issues, with many feeling that the game’s mechanics have become less rewarding due to bugs.
As the gaming community grows, feedback is essential. Understanding how glitches affect player experience can lead to better updates in the future. With fewer activities available, it’s crucial that what’s left works effectively.
