Although we have a few months to wait for the iPhone 17 series, early leaks hint at an exciting design change. According to insider Majin Bu, the new models, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a possible iPhone 17 Air, might adopt a style similar to Google’s Pixel phones.
The leaked CAD renders show that the Pro and Air models will have a distinct pill-shaped camera bar at the top of the devices, replacing the classic square camera setup. The iPhone 17 Air appears to have just one rear camera, while the standard iPhone 17 keeps a more traditional design from previous models.

Talk of an iPhone 17 Air has been building for a while. This model might be slimmer and designed to take the place of the Plus variant. It’s rumored to have a titanium frame, setting it apart from the Pro models that might switch back to aluminum. While Apple introduced titanium in the iPhone 15 Pro series, analyst Jeff Pu suggests that environmental issues might lead Apple to reconsider aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro models.
Apple usually showcases its new iPhones in September. If these leaks are correct, the iPhone 17 series could be one of the biggest design changes from Apple in a long time.
