Sunil Kataria Steps Down as Managing Director of Raymond Lifestyle: What This Means for the Brand’s Future

Raymond Lifestyle’s board of directors announced that Sunil Kataria has resigned from his role as Managing Director and CEO. He decided to step down to explore another career opportunity.

The company shared this news in a filing with the stock exchange, stating that Kataria’s resignation has been accepted by the board. He will officially leave his positions on March 31, 2025.

Sunil Kataria joined Raymond Lifestyle as CEO in March 2022. Later, in December 2022, he was also appointed managing director after a special resolution from the stakeholders.

In his farewell statement, Kataria expressed gratitude for the chance to lead Raymond Lifestyle, a brand with a deep heritage. He reflected on his journey, highlighting the progress achieved during his tenure. Kataria left with a positive outlook on the company’s future and its potential for growth.

According to the company, there are no significant issues behind his resignation beyond his desire for new opportunities.

During this transition, Gautam Hari Singhania, the executive chairman, will manage the company’s operations and guide the senior management team.

Singhania praised Kataria’s contributions, acknowledging his role in strengthening the company’s market position and steering it through a transformative phase. He expressed confidence in Raymond Lifestyle’s foundation and its ability to attract top talent as it seeks further growth.

Before joining Raymond, Kataria worked at Godrej Consumer Products, where he led operations in India and the South Asian region. He also served as president of the Indian Society of Advertisers for nearly nine years.
