February 27: A first for Nintendo Switch Online: they are removing a game. Super Soccer will be taken down on March 28.
This news came out on social media. Once the date arrives, players will no longer have access to Super Soccer. Nintendo hasn’t explained why. It might be due to licensing issues or something else.
As of now, we don’t know if this is just for the US or other regions too. There’s a chance that Super Soccer could also be unavailable in Europe. We’ll share more if we find out.
Nintendo Switch Online started offering games in 2018. It’s impressive that they’ve gone so long without removing any titles. Let’s hope this is just a rare case.
On a brighter note, Nintendo continues to add classic games. Recently, members can enjoy Wario Land 4 as part of the Expansion Pack. For updates on new games, check out here.
Nintendo for the update.
February 28: Nintendo has confirmed that Super Soccer will be removed in North America and Europe too. You can expect it to disappear on March 27 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET.
