On Saturday, February 28, over 70 passionate students and community members gathered at Wayne State University to express their opposition to U.S.-Israeli military actions in Iran and advocate for safer immigration policies. Organized by the Students for a Democratic Society chapters from various universities, including Central Michigan University and Eastern Michigan University, the protest highlighted the urgent need for sanctuary campuses to protect students from aggressive immigration enforcement.
Organizer Jackson Robak emphasized, “As we stand against Trump’s attacks on our communities and abroad, we must unite our voices and firmly say, ‘No’!”
