Mandal further challenged Congress to navigate its path alone if it believes it can thrive without RJD. “Let them try,” he said, recalling that in the 2020 elections, Congress won 19 seats, heavily reliant on RJD’s base.

This internal strife comes at a pivotal moment. Congress is currently reassessing its election strategy during meetings in Delhi. Many party members attribute the poor performance to their alliance with RJD, blaming its leaders and policies. Some insist that going solo may have yielded better results.

Spokesperson Gyan Ranjan emphasized that Tejashwi Yadav, who heads the alliance’s coordination committee in Bihar, should lead any reviews on election performance. “He should address these issues,” Ranjan stated.
