Tesla is recalling 173 Cybertrucks due to a potential safety issue. The problem arises from cracking in the rotor, which could lead to the wheel stud separating from the wheel hub, raising the risk of crashes and injuries.
This recall affects 2024-2026 Cybertrucks equipped with 18-inch steel wheels. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), rough road conditions and sharp turns could contribute to cracks in the stud hole. If not addressed, this issue might cause wheel studs to come loose, affecting vehicle control.
