Preply figured this out by looking at Google searches for “Wordle hint” from January to November. They found which words made people search for help the most. The toughest puzzles sparked the biggest jumps in searches across the country and each state.
Alongside “INBOX,” other hard words included:

Words like “EDIFY,” which means to teach, and “KEFIR,” a popular fermented drink, seemed to stump players. Interestingly, the easiest puzzles this year were “CHAIR,” “BLUNT,” and “SPORT,” showing that not every Wordle was a brain teaser.
