Governor Greg Abbott announced that President Trump might send 400 members of the Texas National Guard to other states for federal protection. This news stirred reactions among governors, particularly Illinois’s JB Pritzker, who called it “Trump’s invasion” in a recent social media post. He urged Abbott not to cooperate.

Abbott, however, fully backed the president’s decision. He emphasized the need to either provide security for federal workers or let Texas National Guard step in.
