Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, whereas mentioning another decisions of the Union Cabinet together with growing the allocation for ‘Crop Insurance Scheme’, said that the first decision of the government in the new year is dedicated to the farmers. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister authorized the continuation of the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme and the Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme until 2025-26 with a complete outlay of Rs 69,515.71 crore from the year 2021-22 to the year 2025-26. He said, “Our government is totally dedicated to furthering the welfare of farmers. We are proud of all our farmer sisters and brothers who work onerous to feed our nation. The first of 2025, the Cabinet decision is dedicated to growing the prosperity of our farmers. I’m comfortable that necessary decisions have been taken in this regard.

‘DAP can be out there at inexpensive costs’

Referring to the decision of the Union Cabinet to enhance the one-time particular bundle to Rs 3,850 crore to guarantee provide of DAP fertilizer to farmers at inexpensive charges, the Prime Minister said that this may guarantee availability of DAP to farmers at inexpensive costs.
