The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday (December 20, 2024) lodged a powerful protest with the interim authorities of Bangladesh. India issued a warning on the controversial publish made by Mahfooz Alam, a key aide of the Bangladesh authorities. Considering these statements as irresponsible and severe, India has made its stand clear to Dhaka.
Randhir Jaiswal mentioned in a press convention "We have lodged our strong protest with the Bangladesh side on this issue. We understand that the post in question has reportedly been removed. We would like to remind all concerned to be mindful of their public comments. While India has repeatedly tried to promote relations with the people and interim government of Bangladesh, such comments could affect relations between the two countries."
In reality, in a Facebook publish, Mahfouz Alam had urged India to acknowledge the Bangladesh riot which compelled Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign. In this publish, Alam commented on India relating to the autumn of Hasina’s authorities, which was later eliminated.
