Thrilling Finish: Murray State Racers Secure 4th Place at Georgia State Invitational!

The Murray State women’s golf team made an impressive move on Monday, climbing to fourth place at the Georgia State Invitational held at Rivermont Country Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. After a rough start with a morning score of 302, the team rebounded with a solid second round performance, posting a 298.

Eliza Mae Kho and Patti Patterson stood out during the second round, each shooting even-par 72. Kho improved significantly, moving up 19 spots to land in 10th place with a total score of 148. Patterson also shined, cutting ten shots off her earlier score of 82 to finish tied for 35th place.

As of now, Murray State trails the leading team, Saint Leo, by ten shots, sitting at 600 overall.

The final round of the tournament kicks off Tuesday morning.

In team standings, here are the top five after the second round:

1. Saint Leo: 590
2. Queens: 595
3. Ball State: 598
4. Murray State: 600
5. Seton Hall: 602
