Morgan Burke achieved a personal best with 56 assists while also managing 11 digs, marking her eighth double-double of the season. Allison Jacobs shone brightly, recording a career-high of 26 kills along with 15 digs. Adding to the mix, Serena Nyambio hit an impressive .485, beginning the match with seven consecutive successful attacks to tie her career high of 17 kills.
The match started strong for Michigan, who quickly took the first set, finishing 25-17. They demonstrated grit in the second set as well, battling through to a tight 25-22 finish. But as the game progressed, Iowa fought back, winning the third and fourth sets, which led to a nail-biting fifth set.
