In the first set, Lindenwood looked promising, going ahead 12-9. Faith Atkins made a couple of impressive blocks, helping the team get ahead. However, SIUE quickly turned the tide with a 5-1 run and took control, winning the set 25-19. Ashley Geluck was on fire, scoring five kills early in the game.

The second set showcased more back-and-forth action. Geluck started strong again, securing the first three kills and making it 7-3 for Lindenwood. But SIUE responded, going ahead with a 6-1 run. Despite the Lions taking a brief 20-17 lead, SIUE’s final push secured them the set at 25-23. Geluck finished this set with five more kills, totaling ten by that point.

The third set was a different story. Lindenwood rallied with a 9-0 scoring run, thanks to Geluck’s three aces and Roth’s blocks. They managed to take the set 25-19, overcoming service errors from earlier in the match.
