Steven Wilson

He is under arbitration control for three more seasons and is projected to earn around $1.5 million.
Yoendrys Gómez
Gómez, 26, received a late-season shot in the Sox’s rotation last year. He pitched a total of 48 1/3 innings with a 4.84 ERA. He has an impressive fastball velocity but struggles with control. With options running out, Gómez will be vying for a spot either in the rotation or the bullpen.
Everson Pereira
Pereira, a 24-year-old Venezuelan, was once a promising international signing. He has posted a .271/.362/.519 batting average in three Triple-A seasons. However, he also has faced strikeout issues, with a 29% rate in the minors and 28 strikeouts in 73 big league at-bats last year. Like Gómez, Pereira is out of options and must secure a spot on the White Sox’s Opening Day roster.
Tanner Murray
Murray, 26, is a utility player who has shown power but also strikes out frequently. He hit 18 homers last season but batted just .241/.299/.400 overall. The White Sox may begin the year with him at Triple-A unless they include him on their 40-man roster.
