The Dallas Cowboys faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers with their playoff dreams already dashed. Their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles the day before meant they had nothing left to fight for except pride. Unfortunately, that pride wasn’t enough as they fell to the Chargers, 34-17.

He completed an impressive 79.3% of his throws for 300 yards and had two touchdowns, leading the Chargers to a commanding victory.
The Chargers outgained the Cowboys significantly, 452 to 340 yards, and converted a higher percentage of third-down attempts, illustrating their dominance. They also kept the ball longer, leading to a time of possession advantage of more than nine minutes.
The game started strong for the Cowboys. After receiving the opening kick, they marched down the field for a touchdown. Prescott’s 5-yard pass to Ryan Flournoy put them 7-0 ahead. The Chargers quickly responded with a touchdown of their own, showcasing their potent offense.
As the first half progressed, the Cowboys set two milestones. Tight end Jake Ferguson achieved a career-high with 78 catches, and Lamb surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth year in a row. However, settling for field goals instead of touchdowns would haunt them as the Chargers continued to find the end zone.
Even though the Cowboys showed flashes of promise, their inability to capitalize on opportunities ultimately cost them the game. The Chargers closed out strong, scoring late and forcing Dallas into mistakes. Backup quarterback Joe Milton’s late fumble sealed the team’s fate.
Despite the loss, the Cowboys now turn their focus to a crucial matchup against the Washington Commanders, hoping to finish the season on a high note. With both teams looking ahead to next year, the stage is set for an intense rivalry showdown on Christmas Day.
