ONE Championship is making an exciting comeback to Japan with a thrilling lineup for ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang, happening live at Saitama Super Arena on Sunday, March 23.

The promotion has added some amazing World Title fights, including a match for the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title. Featherweight Muay Thai champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai will take on Japanese star Masaaki Noiri in what promises to be an electrifying showdown.
Additionally, fans can look forward to an Interim Strawweight Kickboxing World Title fight featuring former champions Jonathan Di Bella and Sam-A Gaiyanghadao. If Kana Morimoto wins her upcoming match at ONE Friday Fights 95, she’ll get a chance to face Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom for the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Championship.
Tawanchai, the reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion, has been on an incredible winning streak for nearly four years. He recently showcased his skills by defeating the current featherweight kickboxing champion Superbon via a second-round TKO at ONE 170.
While Tawanchai shines in Muay Thai, he’s also made a name for himself in kickboxing, with impressive victories over former Glory champion Davit Kiria and Thai striker “Smokin” Jo Nattawut this year. On March 23, he’ll face Noiri, a top striker keen to defend his home turf and claim the coveted title.
Noiri, a former two-division K-1 Champion, is looking to turn things around after a challenging start in ONE. He recently demonstrated his power by finishing Shakir Al-Tekreeti with a series of punishing leg kicks at ONE 170, which set him up for this high-stakes match in front of his home crowd.
The other interim title match features two skilled former champions, Di Bella and Sam-A. Di Bella is known for his precise techniques and fierce fighting style, having claimed the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title in his debut. He rebounded from his first defeat and is eager to showcase his striking prowess once again.
Sam-A is a seasoned fighter with over 400 professional bouts under his belt. He has made a name for himself as one of the best strikers in ONE history. With titles in various divisions and a current two-fight winning streak, he is poised for an epic clash. At 41, this might be his golden opportunity to retire as a champion.
