NASHVILLE – The Titans revealed an exciting new look on their social media. This fresh design includes a revamped logo and uniforms that honor the team’s rich history and its Nashville roots.
The updated look nods to the beloved “Luv Ya Blue” days of the Oilers while celebrating the Titans’ nearly 30-year journey in Tennessee. Burke Nihill, the team’s President, shared, “We wanted to combine the best of our past with a vision for the future. It’s about building a legacy.”
The uniforms feature a mix of Titans blue jerseys paired with white pants at home, and white jerseys with either light blue or white pants on the road. The home jerseys display “TITANS” across the chest, whereas the away jerseys flaunt “TENNESSEE.”
Fans and players love the Titans blue color. Erin Swartz, the Senior VP of Brand Marketing, noted that unlike many teams that use navy, this unique shade stands out. Surveys showed strong support for the color through increased sales of throwback Oilers jerseys.
The new primary logo is a fresh take on the old design, removing flames but keeping a classic feel. It features a white “T” in a blue circle with red accents and three stars representing Tennessee’s regions. This logo appears prominently on their white helmets, which also sport a distinctive stripe.
“There’s a familiarity in this redesign,” Nihill commented. He emphasized that it serves as an evolution rather than a departure from tradition.
Nashville’s influences are woven throughout the design. For instance, the six-string stripe on the pants and helmet pays homage to the city’s musical heritage. The logo’s stars symbolize the three divisions of Tennessee, while the font on the uniforms reflects Nashville’s creative spirit.
Inside the jerseys, the word “WE,” along with the Tennessee Tri-Star, reminds players of the team’s core principle, “We Over Me.” Coach Robert Saleh expressed his enthusiasm for this focus, emphasizing teamwork.
The Titans also introduced a secondary logo representing Nashville’s culture, incorporating the initials TN or NT within a football outline. The lengthy redesign process included extensive fan feedback gathered over several years.
This fresh identity aligns with significant changes in the organization, including a new coaching staff and a reshaped roster. Excitingly, the Titans are also exploring plans for a new stadium.
Nihill’s hope is that fans will take pride in seeing this new look. He shared, “We consistently heard that these are the best uniforms in pro sports.” With this new design, the Titans aim to resonate deeply with their community and create a lasting legacy.
