Tom Holland is back on track after dealing with a concussion while filming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” He shared an update on Instagram, letting fans know he’s “on the mend.” Holland attended a charity gala in London for The Brothers Trust, the charity he runs with his brothers, on September 20 alongside his fiancé and co-star, Zendaya.
At the gala, Holland expressed his gratitude, saying, “The Brothers Trust means more to me than I could possibly say.” He thanked his mom for organizing the event and mentioned feeling a bit better after his concussion.
He had reportedly suffered this mild injury while filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, on September 19. According to reports, he “cracked his head” during a stunt mishap, leading to a temporary halt in production.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures decided to pause filming to allow Holland to recover, but they plan to resume soon. A source told The Hollywood Reporter that this break won’t impact the film’s planned release date in 2026.
This new film is Holland’s fourth solo outing as Peter Parker, following the events of “No Way Home.” It will explore the aftermath of that film and the lead-up to “Avengers: Doomsday.” Zendaya will return as Michelle “MJ” Jones, and familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will join her, including Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds.
In the midst of the filming excitement, Holland shared a behind-the-scenes moment, saying, “It feels different this time.” This indicates how each filming experience evolves, especially with the added energy of fans being present.
As of now, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set for release on July 31, 2026, and fans eagerly await Holland’s return as the friendly neighborhood superhero.
