When Activision first revealed the remake, every classic skater from the original games was included—except for Bam. Known for his iconic roles in Jackass and Viva La Bam, his absence raised a lot of eyebrows.

Recently, during a live stream on The Nine Club podcast, co-host Roger Bagley shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes story. He said that Tony Hawk himself insisted on including Margera, even after the game was supposedly completed. Tony pushed Activision to fly Bam back in for a body scan so he could be part of the game. Bam has faced significant challenges in recent years, particularly related to his health and legal troubles stemming from substance abuse. These issues led to his firing from Jackass Forever and a restraining order issued by director Jeff Tremaine, who had originally fought to include Bam in the reunion film. Scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be available on various platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Interestingly, the game will also feature cross-platform multiplayer and will be accessible three days earlier for those purchasing the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions.
