As the 2025 NFL season develops, a few young tight ends are making waves. A.J. Barner, Theo Johnson, and Mason Taylor are among the eight highest-scoring fantasy tight ends in just the last two games. What’s interesting is that these players are still widely available across many leagues.
This season has seen various quarterbacks rise and fall. Two names often mentioned in waivers are Sam Darnold and Tua Tagovailoa, but neither has surpassed an average of 17 fantasy points per game over five games. Typically, if a quarterback isn’t hitting that threshold, they may not be worth keeping on your roster.
Only a couple of teams are on bye next week—namely the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings—so most fantasy managers won’t need to scramble for a quarterback, except those depending on Lamar Jackson. For those looking to make a move, Jaxson Dart of the New York Giants is one to watch. Dart delivered impressive stats: 202 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 55 rushing yards in his last game. With the Giants often trailing, he should have plenty of chances to throw and run, making him a possible top-12 fantasy quarterback for the rest of the season.
Another player to consider is Jake Browning from the Cincinnati Bengals. He had a tough start but showed promise during the fourth quarter of a recent game, completing 251 passing yards and adding 31 rushing yards. With strong receivers like Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, plus an upcoming schedule that favors him, Browning could surprise fantasy owners if he maintains that fourth-quarter energy over an entire game.
As of now, the landscape for quarterbacks is shifting, and keeping an eye on emerging talents like Dart and Browning could be key for your fantasy success.
